After getting frustrated at having to keep turning the artefact round, staff at Manchester Museum installed a time lapse camera, to try and find out who was moving the statue, but as the footage shows the statue moves by itself!
The statue is of Osiris the god of the underworld and dates back to 1800BC. That’s nearly 4,000 years old! It was believed that should anything happen to the mummified body, the soul could take refuge into the statue. Perhaps this is what has happened.
